A chiropractor's guide to marketing and SEO

  1. How do chiropractors get more new patients from Google?

Start with your Google Business Profile, because when someone searches "chiropractor near me", Google shows a map with a few practices before the regular results.

Google ranks that map mainly on relevance, distance and prominence (Google Business Profile help).

Choose Chiropractor as your primary category, list the services you offer, and keep your hours current, including early mornings, evenings or Saturdays if you have them, since people often fit visits around work. Add photos of the office, the front desk and the team, and say whether you speak Spanish. Then give your website a page for each service you offer and for the common reasons people come in, like back pain, neck pain or care after a car accident. Write those pages to explain what you do and what a visit is like, not to promise a result.

If you have more than one location, each one gets its own profile and its own page on your website, with its address, hours and chiropractors.

  2. What should a chiropractic website have?

The answers a new patient needs before booking: what happens at the first visit, the insurance you take, how payment works without insurance, and a way to book online or call from every page.

Many people have never seen a chiropractor, so a plain page about the first visit does a lot of work: how long it takes, what to wear, what paperwork to bring and what the exam involves at your practice. Introduce each chiropractor by name, with a photo and their training. If you put intake forms online, use a tool built for health information, not a plain contact form. Be careful with claims: describe what you treat and how, and don't promise cures or outcomes. State chiropractic boards set rules for advertising, so check yours before you publish. If many of your patients speak Spanish, offer the whole site in Spanish. Google mainly uses the phone version of a site for ranking (Google Search Central, mobile-first indexing), so check every page on a phone first.

  3. How should chiropractors handle online reviews?

Ask every patient for one, and reply with care: never confirm in a reply that the reviewer is your patient, or mention their care.

Read more: How should chiropractors handle online reviews?

The HHS Office for Civil Rights has fined health care providers for disclosing patient information in replies to online reviews (HHS Office for Civil Rights enforcement announcements).

That holds even when the reviewer shares their own details first. For a good review, thank them for the kind words without referring to a visit. For a bad one, a short reply that says you take feedback seriously and invites them to call the office lets you talk in private. To keep reviews coming, send a friendly text or email after the visit with a direct link to your Google review form. Google doesn't allow offering anything in exchange for a review, or asking only the patients you expect to be happy (Google's policy on reviews). If you want to post a patient's story on your website, get their written permission first.

  4. Can chiropractors advertise on Google Ads?

Yes, but Google restricts some healthcare ads, so the wording and the page people land on matter (Google Ads policies, Healthcare and medicines).

Tie each ad to one service and one page, like an ad for evening appointments that leads to your booking page. Describe the care you offer instead of promising results. Google's personalized advertising policy also limits targeting ads based on someone's health conditions (Google Ads policies, Personalized advertising), so chiropractor ads usually work best on searches: people looking for a chiropractor in your area right now. Before an ad goes live, read it and its page the way a new patient would: does it say what the first visit includes and how to book, without promising anything you couldn't stand behind? We set up the account in your name, and you pay Google directly for the clicks.

  5. How do chiropractors keep patients coming back?

With reminders: a note before each visit, and a friendly check-in when someone stops booking, so nobody drops off just because they forgot.

Send appointment reminders by text or email, with a link to reschedule if the time no longer works. Keep health details out of these messages: "your next visit is Tuesday at 4" is enough. Get written permission to text on your intake form, because marketing texts need the patient's prior express written consent under federal law (the Telephone Consumer Protection Act). Send Spanish-speaking patients their reminders in Spanish. And when a friend asks for a chiropractor, a patient who comes in regularly has your name ready.

    Reminders by email and text
  6. How long does SEO take for a chiropractor?

Expect months, not weeks. A complete profile and new reviews can move the map sooner, but pages on your website usually take months to rank.

Some work helps the map and the website at once: your practice's name, address and phone number written the same way everywhere they appear, from your website to your profile to health directories, and a steady flow of new reviews from real patients. Neither one is a trick, and both keep paying off after the work is done.

That's why some practices run Google Ads while the SEO builds, then lean on the ads less as visits from the map and the website grow. Be wary of anyone who promises you the #1 spot: Google's guide to hiring an SEO says no one can guarantee a #1 ranking (Google Search Central, "Do you need an SEO?").

Questions people ask

Don't see yours? Ask Victoria during the assessment, or call (805) 970-2936.

How do chiropractors get more new patients?

Show up on the map near the people searching, keep fresh reviews coming in, explain the first visit on your website and make booking easy, by phone or online.

Is your service HIPAA compliant?

No, we don't claim HIPAA compliance. Marketing work (your website, Google profile, ads and SEO) doesn't need patient health information, so keep patient records out of it, and answer reviews without confirming anyone is a patient. If you also want Victoria to answer patient calls, we sign a BAA with your practice before she does.

How much does chiropractor marketing cost?

Each service is priced on its own. The free assessment works out your price in about 2 minutes.

What is SEO for chiropractors?

It's the work that gets your practice found on Google without paying per click: a complete Google Business Profile for the map, a page for each service on your website, and reviews that keep coming. It usually takes months, not weeks, to show results.

How should a chiropractor reply to a bad review?

Briefly and without confirming the reviewer is a patient or mentioning their care, even if they shared details themselves. Thank them, say you take feedback seriously and invite them to call the office.

Can someone answer new patient calls after hours?

Yes. Victoria, our AI receptionist, answers in English and Spanish, day and night, and books the first visit, so a new patient who calls after you close isn't sent to voicemail.

Do you work with chiropractors outside Santa Barbara?

Yes. Cloud Conquer AI is based in Santa Barbara. Setup is in person in the Santa Barbara area, and by phone anywhere else in the U.S.
