Example callIn English and SpanishMonday, 6:40 pm. A quote to paint the house.
  1. Victoria:

Hi, you've reached your business. Victoria speaking, what can I do for you?

  2. Caller:

Hola, ¿habla español? Queremos pintar la casa por fuera y necesitamos un presupuesto.

Hi, do you speak Spanish? We want to paint the outside of the house and need an estimate.

  3. Victoria:

Sí, claro. ¿La casa es de un piso o de dos? ¿Y para cuándo les gustaría empezar?

Yes, of course. Is the house one story or two? And when would you like to start?

  4. Caller:

De un piso. Antes de que empiecen las lluvias, si se puede. Le paso a mi hijo para la dirección.

One story. Before the rains start, if possible. I'll put my son on for the address.

  5. Caller:

Hi, I'm her son. We're at 418 Ocean Avenue, and you can call back at this number.

  6. Victoria:

Thank you. That's 418 Ocean Avenue. Someone can come see the house tomorrow at 8 am. Does that work, and what's your mother's name?

  7. Caller:

Tomorrow at 8 is good. Her name is Carmen Medina. I'll put her back on.

  8. Victoria:

Señora Medina, quedó para mañana a las 8 de la mañana. Le llega la confirmación por mensaje a este número.

Mrs. Medina, you're set for tomorrow at 8 am. The confirmation is coming by text to this number.

  9. Caller:

    Muchas gracias.

    Thank you very much.

Questions people ask

Don't see yours? Ask Victoria during the assessment, or call (805) 970-2936.

Does Spanish cost extra?

No. English and Spanish are always included at the same price, with Spanish from the first day, and the free 2-minute assessment works out your price from your calls. If you're not happy in the first 30 days, we refund your first monthly payment.

Does she translate, or actually speak Spanish?

She speaks it. When a caller speaks Spanish, she answers in Spanish with no interpreter on the line, and she switches to English for anyone on the call who speaks it.

Will Spanish-speaking callers know it's an AI?

If a caller asks, in Spanish or English, she answers in the same language: she's an AI assistant for the business. She doesn't pass herself off as a person in either one.

Can she handle an emergency call in Spanish?

She takes it in Spanish and applies your urgent-call rules the same way. Once she puts the call through, the caller is talking with whoever answers the number you set for urgent calls, so if you don't speak Spanish, list someone who does. Her summary of the call comes to you afterward.

More questions (4)

Does the number on my Spanish-language ads still work?

Yes. Calls forward to Victoria from the line customers already have, including the number printed on your Spanish-language ads and flyers.

Will she book into the software I already use?

Bookings go into your calendar in either language. If your schedule lives in other software, bring it up when we talk; connecting a specific system is something we check first and, where needed, quote as a custom build.

How fast can she start, and who sets her up?

She starts taking real calls after the setup call, once you've heard her in both languages on a test call. That call is with Nathaniel Ross, our founder, in person in the Santa Barbara area or by phone elsewhere in the U.S. On it you set your services, hours, service area, urgent-call rules and the language she greets callers in.

Can I hear her Spanish before I sign up?

Yes. Call our own line, (805) 970-2936, and speak Spanish. Victoria answers it around the clock.

The details

In short

A bilingual answering service answers your business calls in English and Spanish.

Victoria, the AI receptionist from Cloud Conquer AI, does it in one conversation: she talks with each caller in their language, switches when they switch, books the job into your calendar and sends you a summary.

Spanish is always included, at any hour, at no extra charge.

About one in three residents of Santa Barbara County (33.9%) and Ventura County (30.1%) speak Spanish at home (U.S. Census Bureau, American Community Survey 2024).

Your setup is handled personally by Nathaniel Ross, our founder.

Why Spanish on the phone is a revenue question

Many of those residents call local businesses for the same repairs and appointments as anyone else, and they want to explain the problem in the language they're most comfortable in.

When the voicemail or the person on your end only speaks English, a Spanish-speaking caller may hang up without leaving a message and try the next listing.

Nothing in your call log shows why that call never became a job.

Source: U.S. Census Bureau, American Community Survey 2024 1-year estimates, table B16007 (residents age 5+).

How it works

  1. She opens with your business name in English, in Spanish, or both in one line, whichever you choose on setup. When the caller speaks Spanish, she carries on in Spanish.
  2. If the caller switches partway through, so does she. In bilingual homes it happens all the time: a mother describes the job in Spanish and her son reads off the address in English.
  3. Bookings work the same in a Spanish call: an open slot on your calendar and a text confirmation for the customer.
  4. A Spanish-language call about something on your urgent list rings your urgent number, the same as an English one.
  5. Once the call ends, Victoria sends you the summary.

Who it's for

Trades whose customers need to explain something in Spanish: plumbing and electrical customers describing a leak or a tripped breaker, HVAC customers whose heat or air conditioning quit, homeowners asking a painter or contractor for a quote, and auto shop customers describing a noise or a warning light.

When Spanish isn't the caller's first language either

The Mixteco/Indígena Community Organizing Project counts about 20,000 Indigenous migrants living and working in Ventura County and another 25,000 in Santa Barbara County, many of whom speak Mixteco, Zapoteco, Purépecha or Triqui (MICOP, mixteco.org).

Victoria speaks English and Spanish only.

When a caller speaks only Mixteco, Zapoteco, Purépecha or Triqui, she can't hold the conversation; the call still shows up in your summary, so someone who speaks their language can call them back.

Victoria compared with your other options in Spanish

  • Voicemail with an English greeting: it records any language, if the caller follows the greeting well enough to leave a message.
  • A bilingual employee: the best answer while they're on shift. Nights, weekends and their days off still need covering.
  • A bilingual answering service with human operators: Spanish-speaking operators take the call; ask whether Spanish costs extra and whether they book jobs or only take messages.
  • A phone interpreter line: puts an interpreter on a three-way call, so someone from your business still has to be on the line.
  • An AI app with a Spanish setting: cheaper per month; test how it handles a caller who switches languages before you rely on it.
  • Victoria: a price set by your calls, with Spanish included, worked out in the free 2-minute assessment. She talks with the caller in either language, books the job, and we handle the setup with you.
