Questions people ask
Don't see yours? Ask Victoria during the assessment, or call (805) 970-2936.
Does the customer see the price right away?
Yes. They see a firm price or a price range, whichever you choose, on your website as soon as they answer the questions or send the photo.
What if my jobs have too many variables?
We build it from the questions you already ask on the phone, so it asks about the things that change your price. You can also have it show a range instead of a firm price. A job it can't price comes to you as a lead, and the price comes from you.
Can it quote from a photo?
Yes. The customer can send a photo of the job instead of answering every question and get a price from your own prices. When a photo isn't enough to price the job, it asks a few questions too.
Do I set the prices?
Yes. It uses your rates, minimums and markups, never an industry average. When your prices change, tell us and we update it.

Instant quote calculators, explained
What is an instant quote calculator for a website?
An instant quote calculator is a tool on your website that gives a customer a price right away, without waiting for a callback: a firm price or a price range, whichever you prefer. The customer answers a few questions about the job or sends a photo, and sees the price, worked out from your own price list.
Most quote calculators you find online are do-it-yourself tools: you pick a template, add the fields and write the pricing formulas yourself. Ours is set up for you. Cloud Conquer AI loads your prices, tests the calculator with you and puts it on your site, so there's no calculator builder to learn and no formula to maintain.
How does an instant quote work on your site?
Here's how it goes, on a phone or a computer, at any hour:
- They open the quote on your website.
- They answer a few questions about the job, like the size, the type of work and the town, or send a photo of it.
- The calculator works out the price from your rates, your minimums and the rules you use when you quote by hand, as a firm price or a range, your choice.
- They see the price right away, in English or Spanish.
- You get the quote with their name, number and the job details, so you can follow up or book the job.
Which businesses is an instant quote calculator for?
Any business whose jobs follow a price list most of the time. If you can say "a job like this usually costs about this much", the calculator can say it too. A few examples of how it can price:
- Example: a house cleaner, by the number of rooms and how often.
- Example: a landscaper, by yard size and the work wanted.
- Example: a plumber, a price for a water heater swap.
- Example: a roofer, a price from photos of the roof.
- Example: an auto repair shop, a price for common jobs like brakes.
- Example: painters, pressure washing, window cleaning and junk removal, by size or by load.
Is an instant quote better than a "request a quote" form?
A "request a quote" form takes the customer's details and makes them wait for you to call back. While they wait, they may keep looking and contact the next business on the list. An instant quote answers the question they came with, what it costs, while they're still on your site, at night and on weekends too.
Both send you the lead. The difference is what the customer gets in return: with a form, a promise to hear back; with an instant quote, your price. You can keep your form as well, for the jobs you'd rather not price online.
What do you need to set up an instant quote?
Four things, most of which you already have:
- Your price list as you use it now: rates, minimums, add-ons, and the jobs you quote most. A spreadsheet, a printed sheet or a conversation with you all work.
- The questions you ask on the phone when someone wants a price. Those become the calculator's questions.
- The jobs you don't want priced online, and what the customer should do instead, such as booking a visit.
- Access to your website, or the name of the person who runs it.
We build the calculator from there. You check its prices before any customer sees them, and you can change a price or a question whenever your business changes.
Does an instant quote replace the in-person estimate?
It can, if you want it to. Set it to give a firm price and the price the customer sees is the price; set it to give a range and the in-person estimate sets the final number. Either way, it asks the questions that change your price, or works from a photo. A job it can't price, like a remodel that depends on what you find on site, comes to you as a lead with everything the customer told it, instead of getting a guess.
Before it goes live, we run real jobs through it together until the prices match the ones you'd give. The customer knows the price before you drive out, and you spend less time on estimates for people who were never going to book. What it costs to set up is worked out in the free 2-minute assessment.
